Hello and Welcome!

MacKinnon Dance Academy has shuffled into our stunning new digs at “The Palms” in Oxnard in December of 2006, and have been growing by ‘jetes’ and ‘glissades’ ever since. Our new 4500 ft. facility has welcomed dozens of new and returning dancers to our Academy. If longevity is an accurate measurement of achieving success through excellence with integrity, we pass with flying colors, letting our record speak for itself. We are in our 32 nd year in Oxnard.largely because of your loyalty and dedication coupled with our promise to provide outstanding instruction.We have all withstood the ultimate test – that is, the test of time.

Our outstanding staff consists of our dedicated and talented instructors who have been with the school for a combined total of over one hundred and fifty-six years. MacKinnon’s dance educators are unique in their dedication to this school, the children and our parents. Hundreds of beautiful and accomplished dancers have emerged as competent young adults poised on the threshold of their mature lives. Whether these youngsters pursue dance as a career is irrelevant; they are ready to face their lives with grace and confidence. Dance and music provide children with a social edge and have proven to be civilizing forces. Dance class teaches responsibility, discipline, self-control and respect for others as well as developing listening and observation skills. What more could one possibly provide for their child? We are proud of our school and of our dancers’ accomplishments, hundreds of whom have graduated from our Academy with confidence, self-esteem, dance scholarships, (for college and/or dance companies) and are poised to begin pursuing their personal dreams.
